PETER Kay has put work on hold to attend every Billy Joel concert in the UK.
The Phoenix Nights star says Joel is a lifelong idol and he that he is not going to miss the opportunity to soak up every minute of the piano man's tunes while he is touring the country.
Peter has booked his place at every one of the US crooner's seven UK concerts, including the Manchester Arena on Wednesday, July 19.
He will also follow him to Glasgow, Dublin and two nights at the Wembley Arena in London.

The Bolton comic, pictured, even got to meet the Uptown Girl singer when he went backstage before the first of two concerts at the NEC Arena in Birmingham on Wednesday night.
A source said: "Peter turned up with a wrapped present which he presented to Billy.
"Everybody recognised him, so he was up on his feet hyping everyone up for the show.
"He went on to sing every word to every song."
Peter has also shown similar dedication to other musical favourites, including Texas and boyband Take That, who he recently saw in concert six times in a row.
