[glow=red,2,300]No not that Bowen this one.[/glow] ;D
Llewelyn-Bowen on the new BB house Tuesday, May 16 2006, 18:52 BST - by Dave West
Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen toured the new Big Brother house and decided it is like "the seventh circle of Hell".
Putting the inside outside and visa versa had exaggerated the house's suburban feel, said the celebrity designer. "It's a long way away from the original, very surgical environment," he commented. "In a way that makes this more worrying, more of a rather hideous aesthetic experiment."
Llewelyn-Bowen did appreciate the producers' kitsch work on the kitchen, however. "Oh, bollocks," he told an accompanying Guardian journalist. "I can't think of anything awful to say. You've won me over."
The house's designer Patrick Watson accepted he had aimed to spark argument. "We're trying to make as much space with as much glass as possible," he explained. "So you get that claustrophobia where there is really nowhere to get away."
Llewelyn-Bowen pointed out: "You're creating glass-fronted, boudoir-inspired, flock-printed panic rooms. You're an evil genius."
The new house would definitely get to its occupants, he concluded, declaring: "We've been here less than an hour and I would quite happily eat you now. This, filled with 12 vacuous wannabes, I think is absolutely the seventh circle of Hell."

Dawn: Show is "imploding from within" Day 8.
Dawn believes that Big Brother's evil streak is beginning to backfire.
The unhappy nominee is planning to leave the house later today, having learnt yesterday that she would not be receiving her suitcase. Her exit will mark the second in as many days following Shahbaz's decision to quit on Tuesday night.
"What they've done with me has backfired because I'm not prepared to take shit or to be humiliated," she explained to Richard.
Dawn now thinks that - through her departure - Big Brother will learn his lesson and think twice before being so evil in future. "In a way they have to be cautious with how they treat you and how much humiliation they can put you through."
She added: "I think the problem is now is that [the show] is imploding from within. And it's always easier to destroy something from within."
Apparently she has also gone now.
