Yes! I've gained another qualificaion!!!
Just got a letter through the door... the envelope in my writing which unnerved me...
I'd written it previously and handed it into the university I've been attending, in order for them to send me my results back.
Now when I get a letter with results I get worked up... a bit of a panic attack as I dread to see the results... but I just calm down then open the envelope a moment later... will it cause misery or...
Oh yes... the course - it's re: "Learning, Teaching and Assessing in Clinical Practice" - what that involves is being a 'Qualified Mentor' to work with Student Nurses.
Not content with having a Nursing Diploma (with merit - yes MERIT - a gold star for me lol, can you believe it?) I wanted to carry on... all the stuff I'd learned I wanted to pass on, and of course learn new stuff that Student Nurses can share (it's a two-way process beneficial to both parties) - hence, I did this.
Had to do practical stuff, plus a written esay with references etc.
Anyhow - I got 64% which I am over the moon with, the pass mark is 40% - so I'm proud of this as you can imagine!
Only pity is... no celebrating - as I'm full of a cold, AND both my wife and I are taking part in a 5km run tomorrow - so I reckon it's a trip to the chemists for some symptom-relieving tackle and an early night!
Still chuffed to bits about this!!!
