Bolton to welcome royal visitor BOLTON BOUND: The Princess Royal BOLTON will welcome a royal visitor later this month when the Princess Royal officially opens a new technical centre in the town.
Princess Anne will visit the Castle Hill Resource Centre in Castle Hill Street on Monday, October 30, and then officially open the Bolton Technical Innovation Centre in Minerva Road.
The Bolton Technical Innovation Centre (TIC) is the UK's first "Junior Incubator" - a cross between a school, university research laboratory, training centre and a factory that links education and industry.
The centre aims to inspire a new generation of science, engineering and technology enthusiasts.
continued... It is open to young people aged nine to 19 from every school in the North-west. It is open during and after the school day, at weekends and during holidays.
The purpose-designed building has been funded by the North-west Regional Development Agency, and supported by Bolton Council.
During the official opening, there will be demonstrations by local schoolchildren.
The Princess Royal will tour and officially open the TIC as well as unveil work created there.
The work of the Castle Hill Resource Centre will also be viewed by the princess.
Opened in 2003, it contains a library, youth centre, meeting rooms, a learning resource centre and a nursery.

She came to our villade to Sirdar mills, I did'nt go see her but they reckon she was in and out of her helicoper like flash.
